i had a similar problem, in the BIOS section, there is a place to
enable/disable "Protect CPU if CPU fan off" if it is enabled this is what
could happen. check to see if cpu fan is running. if it is, disable feature.
my fan was running but for some reason it was not communicating to board.
i disabled and have not any problems since. Also you will probably have to
use another power supply to enter BIOS.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Motherboard malfunction
I have a Soyo Dragon Ultra motherboard, and it's been acting up on
me ever
since a couple of days ago. The problem is, when i power up the
computer,
nothing shows up, and notice the beeping sound. There is a
continuous long
beeping sound computer from the PC speaker. From this i assume it's
giving
me a signal that something is up, either with the system board or
the power
supply. But i've tried replacing a power supply with a known
working one.
The problem still exists with a new power supply. So now, i'm
assuming that
the problem is within the system board.
Thanks for any help,
Michael Martinez
