This weekend I went drinking. I was on beer 7pm Sat night to 2am Sun
morning. I felt fine at the time - as you do - but the next morning I
woke up and my skin had broke out in spots and my sweating problem was
back again. I couldn't believe that it happened in less than 12 hours.
The only question I have is whether is was the carbohydrate content
(apparently 8 tablespoons of sugar in a pint of beer?) or the grain
content of the beer. I hope it was the carbs then I will stil be able
to have the odd vodka. I hate the stuff but its alright out of the
freezer mixed with orange or (diet) coke. Sorry- Pepsi Max, must make
it a man's drink.
And today, I dabbled with nuts again. I counted 10 roasted salted
cashews out of a bag, took my stepdad round the shops, and by the time
I got back (well under an hour) I was absolutely ravenous. I went
through the fridge eating bits of any meat I could find. I also got
through 2 bananas, 304 satsumas, a load of grapes and an apple.
I just wondered if anyone else noticed such acute transformation?
Maybe my body is so used to a decent diet it goes belly-up at the sight
of neolithic food. The most disappointing thing about last weekend is
how strict I was apart from beer. I even managed a meal out (lamb
kebabs and salad in a greek restaurant) without breaking my diet. I
hope I haven't set my self back too much- I've definitely learnt a
lesson here.
Ash
PS I forgot to reply to a question about one of my earlier posts-
apparently wood pigeons eat small cabbages.
