All of my testing has been with diabetics who either produce little or no
insulin or are insulin resistant. This being the case the insulin reaction that
occurs in a "normal" person without a blood glucose problem would not be
present. I would imagine a slight drop in BG after starting the meal (especially a
high protein - fat meal) is possible. A large drop as you had would indicate to
me an abnormality in your endocrine system. This type of slight drop, if it
exists, would be of no importance in cataloging the food you are checking out.
