I just hope that punching holes in body parts went out of fashion on
the coasts far enough back that it may yet dawn on my youngest that
this is not a statement of independence, but submission to the tyranny
of the mob. (And don't you dare make a comment about my long hair and
jeans. Coupled with work boots and khaki work shirts, I was hardly the
standard issue hippie...I was a special hippie.)
