Well, west coast is Kenwood, the actual company,  the one on the east coast,
is just a place that works on Kenwood gear and uses the Kenwood name as it
was explained by Kenwood to me. I know very few people that have had good
luck with the place on the east coast so I'd have to say west coast
definitely. Especially now that avvid is gone in TX, personally I don't know
about on HT's but he was as good if not better then the company with the HF
radios but he retired.
