Howard! Sell the Ten-Tec and keep the C-line, man! If I had the
shekels, I'd buy the C-line, though. But I haven't. Still, I can't
comment on the Kenwood rigs, but:

The K2 is absolutely wonderful insofar as its accessibility. With the
KRC2-AC, nearly everything can be given to you in morse feedback. The
only things I know are not, are dial lock/tuning steps and VOX
on/off. Everything else reads out great with the addition of the
KRC2-AC option. Can't say enough good about it. Also has a real hot
receiver, and it's a phenomenally good cw rig. On SSB, it's pretty
good, but I understand SSB contesters miss some real high-end
functions--I, personally, do not, especially being mostly a cw man
myself. You can also get a DSP for it, and there are plenty of guys
who'd love to build all the pieces for you!

Things it doesn't do:
It doesn't have a general-coverage receiver. That's at least part of
the reason the receiver is as good as it is. It also doesn't do
AM. But what it *does* do, it does extremely well.
