A half cup of cooked beets is about 7carbs. Raw, about 4.5carbs. A half cup
of raw shredded carrot on my salad is about 4carbs minus the fiber count. A
half cup cooked is about 5carbs.... I crave the cooked ones when I eat
them.... It's what Jean-Claude calls a stop. I have a stop with raw but not
with cooked. It's an individual thing that's for sure. Oliva

Besides the very starch tubers such as potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes and
parsnips are there other plant based foods to limit or avoid if trying to
loose
weight via the Paleolithic diet approach? (Are carrots and beets OK?)
