I sent the following email to Barbara's bakery...
I have celiac disease. I recently purchased a box of Puffins Honey Rice
cereal because it said it was wheat free. While I didn't notice anything
that might have gluten on the list of ingredients I'm wondering if it is
gluten free. I guess I'm wondering why you didn't say "gluten free" on
the box if it is, in fact, gluten free.

This is their response...
We have a comprehensive list of gluten free products on our web site,
www.barbarasbakery.com, on the Special Diets page. The Honey Rice
Puffins is gluten free. We do not label products as gluten free as
we feel this would put us in a niche market--- we don't manufacture
these products specifically for people with gluten intolerance.
