Did you by chance run the networking wizard? Setup as residential gateway?
Other things to check:
1. File sharing enabled?
2. All pc's share the same workgroup name.
3. User names are consistent across pc's?
4. Can you ping the other machines?
5. IP addresses set for automatic assignment?
6. Client for microsoft networks installed on all machines?

Hello. I have verizon DSL. I a linksys dsl router with
3 PCs and networked printer. PC O/Ss are W98se, ME,
and XP Pro. I want to connect a Dell laptop runing XP
Home. The linksys routers sees it in the DHCP Table.
But the laptop can't make the Internet connection IE
6. I can see the shared folders of the other PCs, but
I can't open them. The error says I don't have
permission, see your administrator. I'm setup as an
administrator.
