yes and we might be learning what is the physiology of an "addictive
personality".
 the blood sugar regulating system  being disturbed by high carbonhydrate
intake .
either it is sex, alcohol tobacco or gambling thoses might be ways to
regulate  from the outside the blood sugar
don't forget that peoples started to have the need for alcoholic beverages
after switching to high carbonhydrate intake ( especially  and may be only
the cooked starch) and hunter gatherers as the indians from amazonia who use
drugs are in fact relying a lot on crops like cooked bananas or roots.
