In OT you will find DOT's who are Doctor's of Occupational therapy but, it's
considered a clinical doctorate. The research doctorate is still a PHD.

Mag:

A terminal degree is the highest form of education one can recieve in their
field...usually a doctorate. It's regarded as the preferred qualfiication
to teach at the college level. In most fields, the terminal degree is a PhD
(Doctor of Philosophy), or some other doctorate (Doctor of Music, Medical
Doctor, etc.).
