The pigtail is so you can hook up a foot switch or something for PTT, I
didn't know there was a PTT on that mic. As for the other question,  I
couldn't tell you but get on the air with your monitor on and I guaranty
you'll know which is which especially where that narrow cartridge is the 4
so you'll sound like,  I don't know what but I can't stand that one.
