    John is right here, in that you can transmit while charging the THF6A
with a DC power supply with more amperage, but remember not to do what I did
once.  I ran the THF6A on a DC power supply with the lythium pack on the
radio, and ended up cooking the battery pack, I think, since it now will no
longer accept a charge.

If you're going to run the THF6A as a base station off a power supply other
than the wall charger, it's best to get the extra battery case for double-A
batteries and just leave it empty.
