Jeff,

No, but it does prevent you from getting to memories that were set to
frequencies outside the current band.  To demonstrate what's happening,
select the VFO and press the Band button.  Now, go back to Memory
Recall.  If Menu 3 is set to "Current Band," you'll be in a different
memory than you were before you did all this.  If you're still in the same
memory you started in, Menu 3 is probably set correctly, and you're having
a different problem.  It's worth noting that you cannot recall a memory
that has never been set.  However, you can go to the last memory you
programmed, press the Function button, turn the tuning knob one click
clockwise, and be in the next available memory.
