I believe Keith's right, because iirc I sent him the ascii manual I
have for that rig which a friend of mine prepared.

Keypad layout is like this:

tWo keys on left aligned vertically:  top is power, high/medium/low
high power gives you a low beep.  Be sure to have the beeps enabled on
this radio, they'll help you navigate better.

Firrst horizontal row of main keypad has four keys:  call, vfo memory
and function.  wHen used as touchtones they correspond with your
letter keys a through D.

OTher keys are straight touchtone pad layout you should be accustomed
to.

I like the radio, mine needs a new keypad now but I like the radio for
ease of use.  I"m a bit underwhelmed by the build quality but it's a
nice radio.
