Hi to all on list. After reading the discussion on Traffic handling, I am
grateful that some step up. Hams and volunteers in general, have infected
with a bug called "apathy". Regardless if you are a new ham, we all need to
know how to handle traffic for our area. If the traffic ccount is down, We
need to write them to get them. I am NCS for our local net vhf AND A
LIAISON in WNY and participate in the NYP net on 40m daily. I know some
will counter with this is only a hobby, but tell that to someone who has
been helped by a Ham. Hams brought in the world on 911. All city
communications were lost on the top of the Trade Centers. If you
PARTICIPATE in more than one part of our wonderful hobby, I SALUTE YOU. you
are special. What is it going to take to WAKE up the hAMS IN OUR WORLD. We
LIVE IN A VERY QUIET PART OF THE WORLD. If IT WASN'T FOR HURRICANES AND
Earthquakes, WE wouldn't HAVE NOTHING TO DO. If WE ALL LIVED IN Fla. OR THE
Midwest, WHERE THERE ARE Tornados. Would WE APPRECIATE THE nts SYSTEM MORE?
I LOOK FORWARD TO ALL responses TO THIS. We NEED TO OPEN UP THE DIALOGUE
AND DISCUSS IT RATIONALLY. Gary KB2YAA
