Hi Harvey,

You will need the smaller phone plug; smaller than the 1.8 inch pretty much
standard plug.  I have an adaptor from Radio Shack that fits the Kenwood
and my standard headphones.  I'm guessing that they used that plug to
conserve space inside the handheld.
