I intended to send this to the entire list last night in case it is of
interest to others.

I have an inexpensive double headset with boom microphone from radio Shack.
it was about $20 or so. I don't remember the model number. It has a long
(but fairly thin) wire that splits at the end into two plugs, one for the
stereo headphones and the other for the mic. It works great on both my
desktop and laptop.
If you find a good wireless set, please let me know. I am a little hesitant
about wireless as I already have a wireless LAN access point, a cordless
phone, and a wireless RF Logitech keyboard in the computer area. The
keyboard has really lost range recently. I'm down to about 5 feet whereas
it used to be around 20 feet or so a couple of years ago. It has fresh
batteries but I suspect it's dropped out of alignment a bit over the years
of use or the wireless LAN and cordless phone so close just kill it through
interference.

This is somewhat a matter of preference but I still haven't found a head set
with a boom mike for my pc that I'm happy with. Has anyone found anything
wonderful? Has anyone tried a wireless headset and microphone?
