Around two months ago, I sent out a message reporting that windows patch
811493 was reported to really slow down many xp machines and I recommended
that the patch be removed if you found your machine was operating much
slower after you installed the 811493 security patch from Microsoft.

The security patch, 811493 was revised on May 28 and I just reinstalled the
new patch tonight.  It no longer slows down my computer and I wanted to let
you know that this patch now seems to work without slowing down my xp
machine.
