Spoke to the folks at maha energy today.  Their charger mc777 plus II
sounds like a heck of a charger.

According to alex in tech support, it has various beeps to indicate its
status and the function performed.  On the strength of this conversation I
perchased one.  I'll send a report to the list after I have used it for a
week or so to charge my nimh cells and the lithium ion packs for the thf6.
