I have just joined this list and am not sure if I am following protocol, so please advise me if there is a different way to ask questions. Thanks.
I recently purchased a HP Pavilion running winXP home, I hooked up my printer and scanner at the same time in the proper way; installed the drivers, the computer recognizes the scanner, says it is there and running alright; but when I try to "aquire by twain" or scan something, it tells me that there is no scanner.
Also, when I print something, the box that comes up on the screen which usually has 3 icons(print, fax, scan) has fax, print(with my present printer) or the third icon is another printer icon and is labeled "add printer" Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks, Gil Burt [log in to unmask]
