I have a Gateway G6-266 that has a PII with MMX, 96 meg of ram, running
Windows ME. In my computer I have a Mitsumi CD-ROM FX 240S and a Yamaha CRW-F1E burner using Nero software. When I try to play an audio CD in my CD-Rom (a store bought CD), the Mitsumi, it comes up running under NeroMix and after a short while I get one of the following messages;
Digital audio extraction error:
Unrecoverable read error
Do you want to save the log file?
or
Digital audio extraction error:
Buffer overflow
Do you want to save the log file?
With the options of "Yes" or "No" available.
If I try to use Windows Media Player I get the message;
Windows Media Player cannot read the CD. Be sure the CD is free
of dirt and scratches and the CD-ROM is functioning properly.
with the oprions of "Close" or "Web help".
Any suggestions as to what has happened and how I can get an audio CD to
play again.
Thanks,
Dave Schroeder
