Just my own observations here, but TFT should be the preferred way to go. It
appears that CRT monitors will soon go the way of the 5.25 floppy drive.
Among the advantages of TFT displays are reduced power consumption, no
flicker whatsoever, and no radiation. CRT monitors still offer better colors
and, as already noted, they work at various resolutions while TFT has only
one native resolution. If you go with TFT, pick one with the resolution you
want to run it at. I splurged ($2500 worth) a year and a half ago for a 20"
LCD display from Viewsonic with 1600x1200 resolution. Have never regretted
it.

I would like to have some opinions about which one of these monitors would
be the best buy:

*Samtron 19” Flat 96BDF (ˆ239)
*Philips 17” 76?Mb (Magic Bright) (ˆ229)
*Samsung 151S TFT (ˆ308)

Since this TFT is one of the the cheapest TFTs around and since this
technology is giving the first steps yet, should it be a good buy among the
others CRTs?? Didn’t want to spend much more money now, so…
