I just received a notice from the W.5.Y.I. group stating that my
license is about to come up for renewal which I already know.  What
I'd like to know is, is there any particular advantage to paying
them the $6.00 they want to renew it as opposed to going through
the F.C.C. and getting it renewed free?

Also, what is the time frame for renewing it with a snail mail form
605 verses renewing it online?  73.
