Hi Dave and Kevin,

I really love the variable skirt sellection with the TS2000. If I suddenly
get qrm, I can narrow the band width from one side or the other to cut out
the qrm. With a narrow/wide filter sellection, I couldn't taylor the band
width to conditions as I can with the 2000. Another thing that I really
like is the sharp skirts, when a signal hits the edge of the band pass, it
just disappears! That's GREAT!

Hi David,

Oh, I see what you mean. I've not had a radio where you could select
filters that easily. The TS-440 I had for years just had them installed and
you had a rotary knob you would turn if you wanted something other than what
was automatically selected and then the IC-746 I had just had a menu setting
where you told the radio what filters you had and it saw them. Then, you
could press a button for narrow or wide but that was it. To me, the 2000
with the selectable filters from the front is very accessible but it may be
just a matter of personal taste.

Thanks David and take care. Very 73.

Kevin, K7RX :)
