XP processors do come in different cores at same speed. Only that old core
is harder and harder to find. at the moment, I only get XP2000+ in older
core, all other speed changed to new "B" core (step 8).

All current 1700+ and above are changed over to T-B core, apart from 2000+

There is no such thing. It is all to do with M$ anti-piracy policy, when
they release service pack, they block known CD keys that used by pirated
copy, same thing also happens to M$ Office service pack, so ...
