Another emotional factor is CP can't be "cured". Many folks in
medicine do not want to fight an uphill hill battle, with few dramatic results.
Speaking of jaded icons, I saw Jerry Lewis on Bill O'Reilly last night
and the man was grotesque and off his rocker. He implied he had had an affair
with Marilyn Monroe and denied Bobby or Jack Kennedy had!! It didn't help
that he was bloated from "treatment" for some lung condition and was hughmongous!
