Subject: Re: JAWS vs. Window-Eyes
| At work, i use a Dell 933 mhz. Pentium III machine running windows 2000 on
| a network. The network administrator remotely controls all of the PC's on
| the network using MS SMS remote video drivers. Until recently, I was
using
| JFW version 5.0 on that machine exclusively. in Outlook Express, JFW
would
| not read the fields in a message, such as TO, CC, BCC, SUBJECT, etc. It
| would just say "EDIT". This in spite of experimenting with color depth,
| color scheme, resolution, etc. Tech support at FS said that JFW does have
| problems coexisting with remote video drivers. I recently installed
| Window-Eyes on that machine. The reading problems in OE were not present,
| and, get this, when i unloaded WE and loaded JFW, it no longer failed to
| read those fields. Go figure! Window-Eyes actually made JFW work better.
|
| What do you think of that?
