Thanks so much to Connie Sarros who brought this potentially damaging
article to our attention. This article is published in: Suite101.com that
reaches over 1.5 million unique visitors every month!! I am very concerned
about the damage that this will do to the celiac community, in both to
individuals and our reputation with companies, who we want to cooperate
with us regarding the gluten content of their foods!! The following is the
web address to view the article in its entirety, and an exerpt from the
article:

http://www.suite101.com/article.cfm/personal_poetry/57317

"There is so much going on right now, my head is spinning - or is that just
from being poisoned again today?
I have something called Celiac Disease, which is interpreted in the broa
d
sense to mean a wheat-free, or gluten-free diet. The gluten is found in
wheat, and this is pretty straightforward, and wheat can be avoided.
However, I learned when I was diagnosed that I could test what I consume
with a crystal or any kind of pendulum - my keys or a baby soother will
work in the grocery store in a pinch. I've learned through testing
virtually everything that there are many things besides wheat that a Celiac
cannot have. Things like oregano, basil, parsley, jello, certain food
colourings and additives. But people who don't know how to do this, or
don't believe it works, must suffer often from accidental poisoning, and
not know the source."

If you all could please read this article, and respond with your own
opionions to the editor, maybe the influx will cause them to remove it from
their website! With 1/48th of a slice of bread per day causing MEASUREABLE
intestina
l damage in celiacs, I don't think waving car keys over a food is
a very good idea to assure its safety!

Thank-you so much for your help!!
Lisa
