Hi-

There is a slight difference in access speed in a SCSI drive from all I've read. Does it translate into a big difference for most folk's "real world" uses? Probably not. If you feel that your SCSI card may fail at some point & would like to make the jump to a plain EIDE hard drive, I say go for it. They're cheap, cheap, cheap right now. In fact, I posted a reply to someone here who has a hard drive that's locked & shorting out his system - I included a link to a really good HD deal if they're still available (if you're interested, read that post). Just be sure to buy 7,200rpm.

Here's a review to check:http://www.3daccelerated.com/hardware_reviews/eidevsscsi/eidevsscsi.shtml
