Knowing the wealth of knowledge held by members of this list, I'm hoping someone can help me. I am running an AMD Athlon 800Mhz, Win 98SE. Have a new Epson Stylus C82 printer, parallel connection on LPT2 (LPT2 devoted to this printer). All other printers or printer devices running on LPT1 or USB. In attempting to print a running DOS program on the C82 computer gives me a "conflict" message stating Windows running on LPT2 (even though I have no Windows apps assigned to LPT2) and giving choice buttons for Windows or the DOS program. I push the DOS choice, program indicates it is printing, but printer is silent, even though when I first hit print and before the conflict message the printer reacted and printed 2 lines of gobbley-gook. Any suggestions? Checked with Epson and get nothing but vanilla boilerplate responses.
Thanks.
