Hi All,
        Right!  A. C. power can be transmitted over long distances which is not
true of D. C..  Power = current times voltage.  If you step the voltage up
with transformers you can lower the current and therefore not melt the
wires.  Electrical engineers love very high voltages for long distance
transmission lines.
