I used to use a freeware utility called SysID which would give you a whole wack of info on your chip, including name, specs, date it was introduced, sometimes even a picture.  Try searching the net for SysID.  If you can't find it let me know and I'll try to find and zip my copy and email it to you.  thx...rob,wpg
