I have a Panasonic CD mp3 player that requiers mp3 files to be in an 8
digit+ .mp3 format in order to play
in order. In winxp pro I made a file to copy to cd and changed the names
of the mp3s to fit the
8 digit+ .mp3 format, however when i select "copy to cd" they are opened
in windows media player
and the long file names are restored and most are too long to be copied
(will not fit). The cdrw is a hp dvd200i. Is there any to get winxp pro
to copy the modified files without restoring the long file names?

Thank You Joe Harrison
