Just eliminating sugar, transfats and packaged foods is a huge step to
health and if you throw in eating only foods in their natural state and
combine it with adjusting lifestyle factors which take a toll on human life,
there's a good chance we'll fare far better than any period in time. Oliva

The most compelling evidence in favor of paleodiet theory comes from
comparing paleos to the decrepit and pitifully unhealthy early farmers of
the Neolithic period.
. However this does not mean a
paleolithic diet will not make modern people even healthier and
longer-lived.
