Hi All,
On Athlon computer with windows xp home, after inserting USB flash memory
key, (which was previously used successfully on this computer) into the
front USB 2.0 port, the red LED light started flashing accompanied by
beeps, each of the same duration. No flash drive displayed. The panicked
user powered down the computer, the beeps reportedly continued for some
time after the powerbar was switched off. Hard boot was successful, so
was inserting this flash memory key. It works without the problem.
Questions: what could have caused such behaviour (red light, beeps, no USB
drive detected)? Was it just the case of inserting the flash drive not
firmly enough into the USB port or is it something more serious and we
are in for further trouble?
Thanks in advance,
Irena.
