IMHO, as power supplies go, you can never have too much. By adding a 550
Watt power supply, it only means that you will have that much available to
your system to use. It does not mean that your system will use that much if
available. If you are getting a good price I say go for it! By doing so, you
will insure that any peripherals you add in the future will not tax the
power supply in the future.
