There are USB2PCI cards out there, but your system must support USB 2, and you need to have a USB 2 device to connect. A USB2 card will not speed up a USB 1 device from 12 Mbps to 480 Mbps. It will simply default to USB1. I would advise holding off until you have a USB 2 device, and by that time you may have a computer with native USB 2.
