They are too busy keeping track of the Italian photographers, life style
consultants, media construct specialists and market designers. You have to
admit it though, they do know how to sell magazines. I just saw the latest
magazine distribution and actual sales figures today: national and my local
marketing demographic unit for all of the shelter mags. TOH figures were
dancing around just about two inches above the spire of the tallest building
in town, OHJ was laying flat on my desk at second story level, although they
are about to make dramatic content and style changes that are expected to put
them in the same stratospheric realm as the upstarts. After seeing these
figures I realized I need to pay more attention to what is happening down
here, right around dirt level where the grit is not blured out of focus.
