>(lives in Union Valley between Cuyler and Cincinnatus, descendant of the
infamous Loomis Gang)
Are you proud to also know someone who is a descendent of the famous Cuyler
gang? My antique people, the Vrooman brothers, moved there in 1640 and
settled on a corner of Mr. Cuyler's farm. Must have married one of the
Cuyler girls, 'cause in my "line" the family name is now at the beginning of
a instead of the end of a name. Got the Vrooman book to prove it too, but
it is a small book because the family remained pretty small through the
centuries.
Small world though. Had to move 3000 miles from Ithaca and start a new
life in the West before meeting a great girl and getting married and then
discovering she was my tenth cousin through the Cuyler-Vrooman connection.
cheers,
