My Disk Cleanup feature does not seem to be working ( I have Windows XP).

When I start the process, I get a window that says, "Disk Cleanup is calculating how much space you will be able to free on C. This may take a few minutes to complete." Then it starts calculating... and gets locked up forever.

It used to take "a few minutes" as noted, but now it will stay in that calculating mode for days if I don't cancel out.

How get I get Disk Cleanup working again?

Thanks so much,
Marcia
