I had assumed that your requirement was something like this. As far as I
can determine, a balun is not going to do the conversion you need.
Since 10Base-2 (co-ax w/BNC) is limited to 10 Mbps, most NICs so equipped
are still made for ISA slots. Might consider dedicating an old machine to
run as a dedicated router (Linux or NT can do this) between an ISA 10Base-2
NIC and a 10Base-T (or 100Base-TX) [ISA or PCI] NIC -- it's overkill, but
not necessarily more expensive than any other option.
