PCBUILD Digest - 18 Jun 2004 to 19 Jun 2004 (#2004-170)i'm afraid my os is w98 and it doesn't have an update to version 9.
i did follow your suggestion tho' and updated to 7.1, after uninstalling 7, but the same thing happens...
i've also reinstalled my sound card drivers, but i keep getting the video running but no sound, and if i modify the "volume" to high, it seems to automatically go back to off.
any other suggestions please?
thank you,
laurence grignolo

You should definitely update to version 9. That will
probably fix the problem.
