I don't think it's Muslims so much as it's a resentment of how Americans are taking over French culture, or what the French perceive as such. Americans are seen as arrogant people who have no consideration for other countries, and so the resentment builds up. Yes, Trish, I know not all Europeans see us that way, but a lot of them do.
