Of the three said nations, only Germany has small arms that work. None of
the three can field an army that can compete in any theatre with a
well-trained force--even a brigade of IDF infantry could stand their own
against the entire forces of the other three. Former comm-bloc/Warsaw Pact
countries have the military discipline and industrial bases to easily be our
new partners in Europe. NATO and UN are artifacts of the 20th century.
Rumsfield is right: we need to reassess our list of allies.

well france had not participated in nato military
operations for some years now. the do have a aircraft
carrier that the built. unfortunately the flight deck
was made too short for the fighter bombers and so they
can only use choppers or harriers on it. waste of good
champange to launch it. " i christen the "chiekin of
the sea." hey i calls em the way i sees em.
former sec of state engleburger (can't spell it)
said that france could not be considered a friend. not
only were they against us, they were briefing the
iraqies on every meetting that their diplamats had
with ours. there is a price to pay.
there is quite a bit of antisemite feelings in
france too.
