I can say yes, it does happen. I was just reading an article about how
some
people with DD may not wish to live with other people who have
disability
labels. It might be they don't want to live in a group home, or another
reason, other than just straight out and out prejudice. You may have to
do
some digging to find out the specifics in this case. I'm doing a summary
of
the article which is by Michael smull. I can forward you the summary
when I'm
done. Unfortunately, the article by smull is 9 pages long so I can't
type it.
Anyway, when dealing with people who haven't had a lot of choice in
their
lives, it's necessary to find out what their hopes and dreams are.
