Hi, what area of radio are you interested in? If it is dispatch what
agency are you looking at dispatching for? The reason why I ask is
because I know that many agencies are switching to trunked radio
systems. For Motorola trunking, ma of the dispatch terminals are just
computers that use Windows-NT platforms with no graphics. I don't know if
anyone has tried a screen reader with any terminals for Motorola type II
or type I systems, but I have yet to do research. I worked with a police
deprtment dispatching for a while from one of those old LED and button
consols, and this department will be moving to a trunked radio system with
the new computer consols taking the place of a lED and button consol.
I am giong to be doing some research to see how well you can use
the keyboard to operate the radio functiona rfr dispatch as well as the
administrative terminal or site lense.
