I sent a request to the local weather site for information about it, and
here is his response

I would be delighted to help. My system is a Solar powered, wireless, Davis
Instruments Weather Monitor II system. It is currently selling for $447.50
on a
close out sale. A wired, non solar powered version sells for $395. (See
http://www.davisnet.com/weather/products/stations.asp
for a complete list of
Davis weather stations and their prices) Those prices do not include the
software, which probably wouldn't help much anyway since it uses mainly
graphs
to display the information, but does log the weather info. However, I wrote
the
software that I use and it has an interface that might be more friendly to a
text to voice system (see attached image). I would be more than happy to
provide this software or to modify it for the blind at no charge if there is
interest. I could probably modify the software for other systems, but would
need the system here for testing. Please let me know if anyone is
interested.
By the way, I am an ex-ham (WA5HLX) and the son of a life long ham (W5CK).
Glenn
