Today I went to a meeting at Oakland City hall. They were honoring the
director of the service provider that I use, for excellence. I also took the
opportunity to ask and request about the lack of ramped or  wheelchair
accessible taxis in this town. Then the co-chair and I were chatting after
the meeting, and he mentioned they were looking for new people to sit on the
commission of disability affairs and I said Yes, I'm interested in applying.
So, he said he would get a flyer to me. Been thinking for a while now that
I'd like to expand me activism  to the local level.
