Several people mentioned the Corbett Street Fish House, 5901 SW Corbett
Portland, Oregon 503 246-4434. Other comments/suggestions:
Salty's on the Columbia River is one of my favorites.
I ask the server to ask the chef for some suggestions...they come back
with 4-5 entrées and variations.
For dessert you're limited to the crème' Brule'
They are on Marine drive right in-between the airport and the River.
3839 NE Marine Drive
Portland, OR
(360)699-1216
Dinner item is between $16-35$
If you are going on a Friday or Saturday night, you should get a
reservation.
If you're risky, there is a great Indian place on 23rd and Lovejoy,
called Swaggat, that makes great food. I usually don't get sick
there...
On the Vancouver side, I have had great success at the Inn at the Quay.
(Red Lion, right by the I-5 Bridge going into Vancouver.) Less expensive
than Salty's.
There are lots of restaurants in Portland. We have several Outbacks.
Sharis is ok to eat in. They are careful. The best in town is the one I
eat at all of the time . It is Toms Pancake house in Beaverton. I have a
plain Omelet, and hash browns. If you ask them they will be careful. The
one that is mentioned the most is The Couch St. Fish house. I have never
eaten there , but every one says it is good with a GF menu. The best
Mexican food I know of is Amigos III on Hwy. 26, 4 miles East of Sandy.
You tell her no flour, and she will know what you mean. We eat there at
least once a week. I live in Rhododendron, so it is an easy stop on the
way out of town.
Thanks to all.
